Embracing Open Source: Story of ros_openpose
Open-source development thrives on collaboration, innovation, and shared passion. It breaks down barriers, making cutting-edge technology accessible to everyone. During my PhD, I embraced this spirit by creating a ROS wrapper for OpenPose, sharing it as an open-source on GitHub.
The project ros_openpose (https://github.com/ravijo/ros_openpose) attracted remarkable attention, with contributors from Denmark, India, Japan, and USA (listed alphabetically) joining forces. Thanks to their brilliant efforts, it has grown to over 100 stars and forks, reflecting the power of a global community working together. I’m truly grateful for the dedication of all who have contributed to making this open-source endeavor a success. Thank you!
